Roles/Tasks

Highest Priority:

Translation & Interpretation

  • Translating written communications for the website, resources, and outreach to tenants in a variety of languages.

  • In-the-moment interpreting meetings, conversations with tenants who call our support line, and conversations with tenants at community events.

Priority on Spanish, ASL, Chinese (Incl. Mandarin, Cantonese), Vietnamese, and Russian.

Ongoing:

Court Observation:

  • Includes attending and documenting court proceedings and supporting tenants at the courthouse. Can be done virtually or in person.

Tenant Outreach & Organizing:

  • Contacting and organizing with tenants who are at risk of an eviction.

  • Supporting buildings or groups that have expressed an interest in starting a Tenants’ Association.

  • Tabling at events and neighborhood-based outreach “crawls”.

Data Management

  • Includes database design and management, and data visualization and presentation.

Communications

  • Website content creation and management

  • Graphic design for: infographics, flyers, and social media posts

  • Press/media inquiry response

  • Meeting facilitation

Mutual Aid Coordination 

  • Includes working with Tenant Liaison and Mutual Aid network to find and deliver requested support for tenants facing eviction. Can be done virtually - mostly calls, texting, research and coordination.
